This is a hybrid role working in the areas of solution development and support.The primary development focus is primarily Microsoft (MS) Office based tools and includes both enhancements to existing tools and development for new tools.The support aspects of this role emphasize testing and support of MS Office based tax software tools.Testing may also include other tools and software utilized by the Tax Line of Business to confirm functionality of software version updates, enhancements or other changes.

Essential Duties:
MS Office Tool Development – includes the following:
Participate and contribute during tool design discussions
Advanced Excel tool development including Microsoft Office Visual Basic (VBA) based components
Follow established quality standards throughout the Software Development Lifecycle
Design and requirements documentation
Testing – includes the following:
Test case design 
Testing of MS Office based tools to meet defined specifications
Scheduled and ad hoc testing and maintenance of existing Tax processes and tools
Act as a Tax tester as new technology tools are developed and evaluated 
Document and sharing testing results
Support – includes the following:
Ongoing support and maintenance following project implementations
Issue identification and follow up with the engagement teams
Level 3 support ticket follow up when assigned including communications and alignment with IT
Advanced triage and support related to Microsoft Office patches

Basic Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree required
Business degree with IT emphasis preferred
VBA7 or similar programming experience 
Strong oral and written communication skills including technical writing
Advanced technical expertise in MS Office suite especially Excel
Great attention to detail and quality

Preferred qualifications:
Prior experience in software testing
Minimum of 2+ years relevant work experience required
Prefer prior public accounting experience with a mid to large size firm(s) or other professional services experience 
Ability to work within a team environment on concurrent projects and activities
Ability to be responsible and effective while working remotely
Self-motivated and pro-active approach to follow up on job assignments
