Financial Analyst Senior

This position is responsible for providing advanced level accounting and finance support to various internal departments, including the preparation of forecast, financial reports, reconciliations and financial analysis. This position may also provide oversight and review of work produced by Financial Analyst and other junior finance staff level positions.

Essential Duties:

  • Transactional duties may include but are not limited to
    • Prepare, review, and input manual journal entries
    • Review of general ledger activity and prepare and/or review of account reconciliations and work papers for accounts in supported departments / areas / LOBs / service lines
    • Ensure financial statements reconcile to accounting systems and subsidiary ledger detail
    • Maintenance of database used for numerous management reports
    • Review of employee classifications for compliance with regional team structure and Firm's financial reporting business rules
    • Fixed Asset review and maintenance
  • Reporting duties may include but are not limited to:
    • Develop and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for internal management and supported groups which may include services and hours reports, employee information, hours goals, compensation, program expenses, assets, competitive benchmarks, etc.
    • Draft narrative commentary and variance explanations to accompany reports
  • Forecasting & Analysis duties may include but are not limited to:
    • Review of financial statements
    • Investigate and resolve balance discrepancies and internal inquiries by researching and interpreting general ledger data
    • Design new processes and enhance existing processes to maximize efficiency and performance
    • Prepare forecasts and provide variance analysis of actual performance against forecasts
    • Calculate and process employee commissions, billing rates, hours goals and related journal entries
    • Analyze financial data and provide analysis on an ad hoc basis considering appropriate data source, audience, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Accounting or Finance major preferred


  • 3-5 years of Financial analysis experience - Required
  • Experience interacting with management level positions - Preferred
  • Basic knowledge of forecasting and planning - Required Professional Services background - Preferred

Technical Skills:

  • Solid understanding of general accounting principles - Required
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills - Required
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written - Required Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Required
  • Ability to work autonomously and part of a team - Required
  • Effective organization and time management skills - Required
