National Consulting Services – Application Developer

The Application Developer will have an understanding of general IT and solutions development knowledge for development and customization of existing and new applications, as well as providing end user support services to both internal and external clients at various levels.  This individual will also perform administrative duties as required under the general direction of team members and management.



  • Understanding of:

    • JavaScript

    • HTML

    • CSS

  • Ability to apply system design and development methodologies.

  • Ability to interpret and convey technical information to all levels of technical aptitude, including senior management, which includes written and oral communications.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate with both business and technical audiences.

  • Strong influencing skills and the ability to interact with management.

  • Strong interpersonal skills plus a pro-active approach to finding solutions and managing priorities.

  • Ability to work with diverse teams, and communicate using virtual communication tools (phone, conferencing, online meeting).

  • Ability to support, affect, and implement change

  • Sets and meets realistic deadlines. Forecasts changes and communicates current and projected issues.

  • Strong business acumen to quickly learn new business processes.



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or a related field preferred.


  • 0-2 years of professional experience with Business, IT or related field - prior professional services experience preferred.

  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.


  • Familiarity with:

    • Cross browser development

    • Ext JS

    • JSON

    • AJAX

    • Java

    • Eclipse derived development environment

    • SQL

    • IBM Domino and Notes platforms

  • Proven client and end user support skills

  • Ability to apply system design and development methodologies

  • Proficient with project management tools.
