Planning and supervising audit engagements to ensure they are conducted in accordance with US Generally Accepted Auditing Standards. Reviewing audit work papers and financial statements and disclosure to ensure that they are in compliance with US GAAP. Perform detailed external audit and attestation engagements. Review financial statements and footnotes as well advise management on GAAP disclosures. Keeping abreast of all industry developments and ensuring professional development through ongoing education. Anticipating and addressing client concerns, and escalating problems as they arise.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance of related. Five years of experience as an audit manager/supervisor or audit senior/associate. Five years post bachelors experience is required and must include: US GAAP compliant audits (incl. valuations inputs, assumptions, fair value accounting standard ASC 820) for equity instruments (Level 1 & 3) and performing /non-performing debt instruments (including yield analysis)); Audit of complex/non-standard carried interest calculations for private equity engagements; Perform, review and supervise custody examinations for compliance with para. (a)(1) of Rule 206(4)-2 of Investment Advisers Act of 1940; Audit and supervision of audits of private equity fund engagements, business development companies (BDC) and investment advisors including those performed in accordance with US GAAS and PCAOB standards; and supervising and managing audit planning and accounting and audit assignments. *Must be a CPA or equivalent (e.g. Chartered Accountant)
