Financial Advisory Services - Valuation Services Associate
Summary of Position:
The Valuation Services group helps clients by performing valuations of assets, liabilities, and equity using complex financial models and various methodologies such as discounted cash flow analysis, market analysis, and replacement cost estimates. These analyses are used for financial reporting, gift and estate tax purposes, assisting management teams with internal planning, as well as assisting in mergers and acquisitions.
Additionally we value complex financial instruments such as stock options, interest rate swaps, commodity futures and forwards, and contingent consideration using Black Scholes Option Pricing Models and Monte Carlo simulations.
We provide services to a wide array of industries including but not limited to: oil and natural gas (upstream, mid-stream, and downstream), manufacturing, restaurants, and utilities.
Complex financial modeling.
Performing valuations using various methodologies such as discounted cash flow analysis, transaction research, and market analysis.
In-depth report writing.
Independently gathering in-depth client related economic, industry, and market data.
Identify issues and flaws in methodology and assumptions in various analyses.
Bachelor's and/or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business Management. Minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Strong written communication skills.
Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Strong understanding of finance and economic concepts and application of financial theory.
Proficiency in accounting (GAAP) is a plus but not required.
Energy experience is a benefit.
Progressing towards a CFA, ASA, CPA or related certification is preferred but not required.
Minimal travel requirements.
