The Alliance talent leader delivers human resources related services to RSM US Alliance member firms, working with more than 120 firms across the US.  These Alliance members gain access to a valuable peer network of like-sized firms as well as a broad range of technical tools, expertise, and practice management resources, including human resources. The Alliance talent leader can reside in any one of our offices/locations.

The Alliance talent leader delivers an integral component of the client promise to member firms.  This individual serves as a consultant and trusted adviser to these firms and is responsible for delivery of the HR basket of services including leadership programs, various surveys, HR training, access to talent practices, and HR thought leadership among other services.   As a member of the client service team, the HR leader collaborates with member firms’ relationship leads to consult with them and help address their HR needs (delivering the power of being understood). 

Core Duties and Responsibilities

  •  Serve as trusted advisor in helping Alliance members by answering questions and providing HR guidance and assistance – 15%
  • Plan, market, execute, oversee all aspects, and assume financial management of three multi-year leadership development training programs attended by member firms’ employees – 25%
  • Plan, market, coordinate, prepare and deliver reports to member firms for talent engagement survey and benefits & HR best practices survey – 15%
  • Manage and coordinate with third-party vendor an annual compensation survey and deliver related webcast – 5%
  • Provide thought leadership to members’ leaders on current HR hot topics/areas of interest – 5%
  • Manage and maintain relevant HR content on client portal – 5%
  • Deliver HR-related training and presentations to various audiences (member HR leaders, member managing partners, member LOB leaders, leadership program participants, etc.) via in-person seminars/workshops and webcast platforms – 15%
  • Plan agenda/speakers, market, coordinate, deliver presentations and serve as facilitator for annual Human Resources Roundtable – 5%
  • Provide personal/team assessments and related understanding/implementation to member firms – 5%
  • Collaborate with primary client servers to meet HR needs of members – 5% 

Responsibilities related to Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with member firms’ HR leaders and managing partners
  • Provide, facilitate opportunities, and serve as a catalyst for interaction within member HR leader community
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with RSM US HR professionals
  • Manage implementation of Alliance people operating guidelines with RSM US and RSM US Alliance members
  • Manage HR-related vendor relationships

Basic Qualifications

  •  Bachelor degree in Human Resources or business field
  • 8+ years of progressive HR management, leadership, and employee relations experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • PHR (SHRM-CP)/SPHR (SHRM-SCP) preferred

  • Continuous learner; devoted to expanding knowledge to stay abreast of HR developments and gaining additional expertise (through readings, webcasts, and training events)

  • Effective organization and time management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and prioritize tasks
  • Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office applications
  • Willing and able to travel nationally (15-20% overall, varying widely during year, with heaviest travel season exceeding 50% at times)
  • Previous professional services experience with an understanding of accounting industry and partnership model preferred
