The Project Manager is accountable to executive sponsors for schedule, budget, and quality of on-going complex projects which may have many related projects managed within. The incumbent will apply broad, advanced project management principles and concepts to large projects, and contribute to innovation of new concepts and ideas, and continuous process improvement. Program duties may not always fall within a defined subproject. The individual must be able to identify activities as either in or out of scope as they relate to the program objectives.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with managing multiple projects and stakeholder relationships to assure business needs are met, projects are delivered on time and within budget, and potential projects are managed.
  • Define and manage business case, program and project scope, goals, budget, schedule, resources, and deliverables that support business goals, and take appropriate steps to ensure project objectives are met in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Manage program and project risks / issues. Recognize and determine the appropriate corrective action to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget and scope.
  • Identify and execute appropriate communication methods to meet stakeholder and senior leadership needs on the accurate status of a project
  • Create and maintain project documentation to identify, evaluate, scope, plan, monitor, and follow up on active projects.
  • Responsible for taking detailed meeting notes, outlining follow up points, coordinating follow ups, working with all teams to finalizing resolutions.
  • Work collaboratively with a team on specific short and long-term projects to maximize productivity.
  • Coordinate with all necessary vendors and service providers.
  • Complete any necessary administrative tasks, such as research and email.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business related area or equivalent experience.
  • 5-8 years relevant experience.
  • Experience managing multiple projects.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (excel, word, powerpoint)
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to supervise, direct and review the results of programs, projects or assignments.
  • Ability to support, affect, and implement change.
  • Facilitate program discussions with senior management and business stakeholders.
  • Understand, apply, and implement administrative policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Highly organized, adaptable and able to prioritize tasks and work independently.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to manage at a macro level and identify when a refined approach is necessary.
  • Strong attention to detail and aptitude for problem solving.
  • Ability to proactively address potential issues.
