The National TP&T Senior Associate will participate in the business solution analysis, testing, implementation and ongoing support activities for the Tax process and technology platform.  The primary responsibilities are a mix of support for existing tax business processes and tools plus definition and testing of new processes and tools. Assistance with tax contracts, invoicing and vendor management may also be required.


Testing – includes the following:

  • Test case design 
  • Scheduled and ad hoc testing and maintenance of existing Tax processes and tools
  • Act as a Tax tester as new technology tools are developed and evaluated 
  • Complete testing for enterprise technology initiatives requiring tax input and confirmation
  • Document and sharing testing results

Support – includes the following:

  • Ongoing support and maintenance following project implementations
  • Issue identification and follow up with the engagement teams
  • Level 3 support ticket follow up when assigned including communications and alignment with IT

Functional Business Analysis – includes some or all of the following:

  • Gather and document functional requirements for enhancements to existing tools/processes or implementation of new tools/processes
  • Set up, configuration and training for client tax software and process implementations
  • Establish and manage relationships with Tax line of business subject matter experts
  • Develop end-user documentation including user guides, knowledge documents, and training materials
  • Develop and deliver training courses in various formats

Vendor / contract management – includes some or all of the following:

  • Assist with the reporting and maintenance of tax licensing, invoicing and contract details
  • Interface with the field to gather necessary inputs for tax software contract management 
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or technology required
  • Active CPA preferred
  • Strong oral and written communication skills including technical writing
  • Genuine interest and strong aptitude for use of technology
  • Strong technical expertise in MS Office suite
  • Minimum of 2+ years relevant work experience required
  • Prefer prior public accounting experience with a mid to large size firm(s) or other professional services experience 
  • Prefer prior experience working within a national tax role in tax software, processes, or both
  • Ability to work within a team environment on concurrent projects and activities
  • Great attention to detail and quality

  • Business analysis training and experience
  • Excel training and advanced skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills plus a pro-active approach to finding solutions and managing priorities
  • Desire to incorporate tax knowledge with computer applications
  • Self-motivated and pro-active approach to follow up on job assignments
  • Ability to be responsible and effective while working remotely
