The IT Asset Management Analyst is responsible for various duties within the IT Customer Assets team. The analyst will be involved in the lifecycle management of IT assets from procurement to retirement. Coordinate the utilization of asset management tools to analyze, review, and track asset data within the organization. Minimizes organizational cost through product standardization and tracking
1. The IT Asset Analyst will be responsible for the daily and long-term strategic management of IT assets within the organization. This includes planning, forecasting, monitoring, and recording assets to ensure compliance within the organization.
The IT Asset Analyst will assist in developing, documenting, and implementing written plans, policies & procedures for tracking company assets.
Responsible for tracking of IT assets from requisition through retirement to oversee quality control throughout their lifecycles. Maintain warranty information, refresh date, and end of life data information through monthly reporting.
Running various reports, data analysis, and coordinating remediation efforts as needed between various systems.
Implement and utilize the appropriate tools and methodologies with respect to IT asset inventory and procurement by users.
Develop and conduct system training as needed for use by department level staff to maintain inventory.
2. Work directly with finance, vendors, and asset administrator(s) to maintain 100 percent inventory accuracy and assist with remediation efforts.
Assist and lead with the administration of the asset management system.
Assist in developing and implementing recycling (eWaste) policies and procedures.
3. Manage related cross-department projects as assigned.
4. Other duties as assigned.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Procurement, Accounting, Finance or related business concentration or equivalent experience.
Experience:
1-3 years of experience in IT Procurement, IT Finance, Software Asset or IT Asset Management or like disciplines in a large-scale technology and data center environment
Technical Skills:
Good understanding of Information Technology environment
Excellent Microsoft Office/Excel skills (e.g., Pivot tables, vlookups, formulas, etc.)
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong analytical skills and demonstrated problem solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
High degree of professionalism
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Special Requirements Specific for the Job:
Demonstrates a working knowledge of the technology tools required within assigned responsibilities.
Effective organization, time management skills, and a strong understanding of deadlines and deliverables.
Ability to manage multiple tasks.
Strong attention to detail.
